The working
The base range is 80% to 125% of average monthly deposits, which is how most first-position programs size an advance. Three adjustments follow the way an underwriter trims a first look:
- History: under 12 months × 0.75; 12–23 months × 1.0; 24 months and more × 1.15.
- Open positions: × 0.75 for each, up to three.
- Credit band: below 580 × 0.8; 580–669 × 0.9; 670–739 × 1.0; 740 and up × 1.1.
Results round to the nearest $1,000 with a $5,000 floor. Under six months of history or $10,000 a month, most programs do not start, and the calculator says so instead of inventing a figure.
None of this replaces statements: average daily balance, negative days and the industry move a real offer in both directions.
How much can I get with a merchant cash advance?
Most first advances are sized at 80–125% of average monthly deposits — a business depositing $40,000 a month is typically offered $32,000 to $50,000. Under a year in business trims the range; each open position trims it further; the owner's credit band nudges it either way. Statements set the number; the score sets the field of partners.
Do I need good credit to qualify for business funding?
For a bank term loan or line of credit, usually 680 and above with two years in business. For advances and revenue-based programs, deposits matter more than the score: owners in the 500s are approved routinely when the statements are clean, at a higher factor rate. Below 580 the field of partners narrows.
Can I qualify with existing advances?
Often, for a second position; rarely beyond a third. Each open position already claims part of daily receivables, so a new partner advances less and prices higher. Stacking several usually breaches the first agreement — read it before taking another.
Is this estimate an offer?
No. It is the arithmetic underwriters use for a first look, applied to the four inputs you gave. A real offer depends on three to six months of complete bank statements, the industry, and the partner's own program.
